Terms of Use

KubeIntellect is free, open-source, and provided as is. These terms explain the licence, the limits of an AI operations assistant, and what we ask of you when using the demo.

Last updated: 7 August 2026

What these terms cover

These terms apply to the kubeintellect.com website, the live demo hosted on it, and the hosted backend that the kube_q CLI talks to. By using any of them you agree to what follows.

KubeIntellect is an open-source research project maintained by Mohsen Seyedkazemi Ardebili. It is pre-commercial: it is provided free of charge, with no company entity behind it and no commercial support obligation.

Licence

The KubeIntellect source code is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). Your rights to use, modify, and redistribute the software are governed by that licence, which is included in the source repository and takes precedence over these terms in any conflict about the code itself.

The KubeIntellect name, logo, and brand assets are not covered by the AGPL and remain the maintainer's. You may refer to the project by name; do not present a modified version as the official one.

No warranty

The software and this website are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. This mirrors the disclaimer in the AGPL-3.0 licence.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the maintainer is not liable for any damages arising from use of the software or the site — including lost data, cluster downtime, or lost profits.

This is an AI assistant — verify before you act

KubeIntellect uses large language models to diagnose clusters. Language models can be wrong, and can be confidently wrong. Diagnoses, root-cause explanations, and suggested commands are advisory and must be reviewed by a competent operator before you rely on them.

KubeIntellect is read-only by default and pauses for explicit human approval before performing any action that changes a cluster. Do not disable or automate around that approval gate on a production system unless you fully accept the consequences. You remain responsible for every change applied to your infrastructure.

Using the live demo

The demo runs against a shared demonstration cluster that other visitors also use. It is offered for evaluation only, without any availability guarantee, and may be rate-limited, reset, or withdrawn at any time.

Treat it as a public environment. Do not paste credentials, API keys, kubeconfigs, personal data, or confidential information into it.

  • Do not attempt to break out of the demo environment, access other users' sessions, or attack the underlying infrastructure.
  • Do not use the demo to generate unlawful, abusive, or harmful content.
  • Do not run automated load against it or attempt to deny service to other users.

Connecting your own cluster

If you point the kube_q CLI at a cluster of your own, you confirm you are authorised to operate that cluster. You are responsible for the access you grant it — we recommend the least-privilege, read-only role described in the documentation.

You are responsible for complying with your own organisation's policies and with any law applying to the data in your cluster.

Research claims

Performance figures quoted on this site come from the peer-reviewed paper published in the Journal of Grid Computing (Springer, 2026, DOI 10.1007/s10723-026-09837-6), measured on the specific testbed described there. They are research results, not a performance guarantee for your environment.

Availability and changes

The site, the demo, and the hosted backend are provided on a best-effort basis and may change or be discontinued without notice. These terms may be updated; the date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law, and the courts of Italy have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
